The Scene

Jules and Vincent visit Brett's apartment. Before things escalate, Jules helps himself to Brett's Big Kahuna Burger and Sprite. The tension builds as Jules philosophizes between bites, creating one of cinema's most iconic (and terrifying) burger moments.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Form the patties: Divide beef into 4 portions, form into patties slightly larger than buns (they shrink). Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Grill pineapple: Grill or pan-sear pineapple rings 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized. Set aside.
  3. Cook burgers: Grill or pan-fry patties over high heat, 3-4 minutes per side for medium. Brush with teriyaki sauce while cooking.
  4. Add cheese: Top each patty with Swiss cheese, cover and let melt for 1 minute.
  5. Toast buns: Butter and toast the Hawaiian rolls on the grill until golden.
  6. Assemble: Mayo on bottom bun, lettuce, patty with cheese, grilled pineapple, bacon, tomato, onion, more teriyaki, top bun.
  7. Serve: Best enjoyed with a Sprite and some philosophical conversation.
